BoreTech’s aim is to demonstrate and ensure safety, environmental, and quality compliance in accordance with OHSAS 18001: 2007, AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 and AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008, the standards specified in relevant contracts, codes of practice and all relevant acts, legislation, and regulations.
Input and involvement of all workers and stakeholders is essential and will be sought to identify and mitigate workplace hazards and risks in order to achieve a safe work place and an environmentally sustainable environment. Management will ensure that all workers and contractors are inducted so they become familiar with project processes and risk management techniques. In order to achieve our objective of promoting safety, environmental and quality awareness, and to optimise client satisfaction on our projects we:
- Set measurable objectives and targets.
- Focus on these objectives and targets at every level.
- Eliminate work related injuries, illnesses, and pollution.
- Ensure that all staff and contractors understand our policy and their responsibility in maintaining the highest levels of performance.
Occupational Health and Safety
BoreTech recognises that the health, safety, and welfare of workers, contractors, visitors, persons present at our sites, and people affected by our works are our responsibility.
BoreTech is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel and the prevention of work related injuries and illness by providing and maintaining a safe working environment including an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) and safe systems of work in compliance with relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
Environment
BoreTech respects its social and physical environment and recognises that our operations have both direct and indirect impacts on the environment. As such, we are committed to sustainable development, responsible environmental management, conservation of resources, and prevention of pollution whilst complying with relevant legislation and other requirements.
BoreTech’s objective is to manage these impacts so that we can better manage the costs and risks to our business while promoting a strong environmental ethic throughout the company as part of our culture.
